Scribes James Lamont and Jon Foster, the duo being Paddington in Peru, have teamed up for scripting Critterz. The new film is an AI-assisted animated feature.

Nik Kleverov is directing Critterz and co-producing it with Chad Nelson, a creative strategist at OpenAI and Vertigo Films' Allan Niblo and James Richardson. Kleverov is also the co-founder of the AI production studio Native Foreign.

Speaking about the film, Kleverov said that with Critterz, he is looking to "capture the wonder of the '80s fantasy movies' he grew up on. The film is expected to follow an anxious, but brave, little woodland creature that teams up with a group of "eccentric outcasts" on a high-stakes quest to find her long-lost brother.
