With only two months to go before the release of Toy Story 5, reports indicate that actor Krys Marshall is part of the animation film's voice cast. It further states that Krys will lend her voice to a grown-up who must contend with her tiny human's new hobby in a "Toys vs Tech showdown."

Having starred in a short film, with her first feature being Alone in the Dark (2022), her collaboration with the Pixar franchise could be her break. On the TV front, she has starred in the main cast in Super Sportlets (2010-11), Gone: A Wayward Pines Story (2015), Supergirl (2018), and For All Mankind (2019-present).

Tom Hanks returns to voice-act for the cowboy Woody, Tim Allen reports to duty as Buzz Lightyear, Joan Cusack as cowgirl Jessie, Conan O'Brien as tech toy Smarty Pants, and Tony Hale as Forky, the hand-crafted toy. The fifth installment introduces a new character, Lilypad, a high-tech, frog-shaped smart tablet to which Greta Lee lends her voice.

Toy Story 5 is co-directed by Andrew Stanton and Kenna Harris, with Lindsey Collins producing it. The film is releasing in theatres on June 19.
