It is not even Lindy's (Elizabeth Banks) worst nightmare to be shrunk to an ant's size, but miscommunication with her husband Les (Matthew Macfadyen), leads her to that situation in the trailer of The Miniature Wife. The trailer for the upcoming comedy drama series was unveiled on Tuesday.

The trailer shows Lindy as a successful author, married to a supportive Les, a scientist, who has kept his wife in the dark about his work. Even as Les successfully invents technology to shrink objects, Lindy accidentally uses it on herself and becomes miniature. While Les and Lindy struggle to come to terms with their new normal, the former is also tasked with finding technology that will bring her back to normal size.

The series is described as "a high-concept marital dramedy examining the power (im)balances between spouses, Lindy (Banks) and Les (Macfadyen), who battle each other for supremacy after a technological accident induces the ultimate relationship crisis." The series, from showrunners Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner, is based on a short story written by Manuel Gonzales.

The Miniature Wife also stars O-T Fagbenle, Zoe Lister-Jones, Sian Clifford and Sofia Rosinsky. Ronny Chieng, Aasif Mandvi, Rong Fu and Tricia Black appear in recurring roles. The lead actors Banks and Macfadyen will also executive produce The Miniature Wife alongside Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer.

All 10 episodes of the upcoming serieswill be released on Peacock on April 9.
