The Netflix series Bridgerton has legions of fans in India, partly due to how it incorporates the country-specific cultural elements into its narrative. The latest season of the series explores the story of romance between Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha's Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek, respectively. During their recent conversation with Variety for Bridgerton season 4, both actors shared some interesting details that are sure to excite fans of the show in India.

Thompson and Yerin Ha said that "they would love to" visit India as part of Bridgerton's production. It is worth noting that Simone Ashley's character in the series, namely Kate Sharma, is a person of Indian heritage. This means that the series has also weaved in elements of Indian culture through her character.

According to Thompson and Yerin Ha, this connection of the show with India might pave the way for a section where Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Baek meet Kate Sharma and her family in the country. Netflix has renewed the series for a fifth and sixth season, so there is the possibility of some portions of the show being filmed in India. Recently, the streamer suggested that the fifth season would also explore a love story.

Besides, Thompson even expressed his desire to have a whole season of Bridgerton shot in India. Notably, the actor's grandmother is of Indian-English heritage. Therefore, he called himself "a quarter Indian".

Coming back to the series, its fourth season is seventh on the list of the most popular Netflix shows in India for the third week of February. On the other hand, globally, it is the third on the most popular Netflix show list.
