Kevin Bacon to star in a horror film

The story follows Jefferson Haddock (Kevin Bacon), who is called to an isolated witness-protection property to face a terrifying demon that threatens to destroy him and everything around him

Kevin Bacon will lead a new Amazon MGM horror film, tentatively titled Summoner, directed by debutant Jeremy Slater, who is a noted scribe. Nocturna's Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Russell Ackerman will produce the film.

The story follows Jefferson Haddock (Bacon), who is called to an isolated witness-protection property to face a terrifying demon that threatens to destroy him and everything around him.

Slater has worked on several popular titles like The Umbrella for Netflix, Marvel's Moon Knight for Disney+, and The Exorcist for Fox. His recent work was Mortal Kombat II. Bacon, meanwhile, last co-starred, co-directed, and co-produced Family Movie with his wife, Kyra Sedgwick. The film also starred their children, Sosie Bacon and Travis Bacon. He will also be seen in the upcoming romantic comedy Beach Read, starring Phoebe Dynevor and Patrick Schwarzenegger.
