With her breakout film, Obsession, directed by Curry Barker, still creating waves across the globe, Megan Lawless is set to lead the upcoming psychological drama Ping. The film, written and directed by Richie Gordon, will enter production later this year in Utah.

Speaking about Ping, Gordon says the film is about the blurring of the line between ambition and addiction, and that it will discuss the consequences of a thing that has made one gifted start devouring them.

The story has Annie (Lawless) having to choose between being irreplaceable and being free after she joins a wellness startup run by a magnetic person. With him promising a bright career with creative power and status, ambition morphs into obsession and isolation for Annie as validation starts taking control of her. Power Ten Productions has produced the film.

With her recent film Obsession, where she plays Sarah Harper opposite Michael Johnston and Inde Navarette, making and breaking box-office records, Lawless's acting credits include Table 19, The Hate U Give, and The Girl from Plainville.
