The upcoming supernatural horror film Mercy Good, directed by Kevin Lewis, will star Stephen Lang in the role of a local historian. Mercy Good revolves around a family that relocates to Salem, Massachusetts, in search of greener pastures, only to find themselves caught in a centuries-old mystery linking their historic home to a supernatural force eager to return. Lang (Avatar) plays Henry Woodard, who holds the key to Salem's dark past and the solution to the family's ordeals in the film.

Apart from his role as Colonel Miles Quatritch in the Avatar films, Lang's credits include the Don't Breathe films (2016 and 2021), Sisu: Road to Revenge (2025), and Hellfire (2026). His upcoming films include Gettysburg 1863 and Eyes Along the Valley.

Written by Michael Caissie (Hunter's Moon), Mercy Good will enter production this September. Caisie is also producing the film under the Stoic Films banner along with Clayton Turnage.
