Jason Statham's upcoming meta action-comedy Jason Statham Stole My Bike, helmed by David Leitch, is set for a theatrical release on August 6, 2027.

The film, which went on floors this week, is expected to have Statham play a role that will remind of Rick Ford, a CIA field agent, in Paul Feig's 2015 film Spy, starring opposite Melissa McCarthy.

David Leitch, known for Deadpool 2, Bullet Train, and The Fall Guy, is reuniting with Statham after 2019's Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw. Leitch is directing Jason Statham in Stole My Bike from a screenplay by Alison Flierl, known for her work on series such as School Of Rock and BoJack Horseman.

Leitch and Kelly McCormick of 87 North are set to produce the film, alongside Statham himself, under Punch Palace Productions and John Friedberg of Black Bear. Producers Ethan Erwin and Meredith Berg of the Beryllium Entertainment banner are also attached to the project.

Last seen in Ric Roman Waugh's Shelter, Statham will also star in Mutiny, The Beekeeper 2, and Viva La Madness.
