Halle Berry has announced multiple film and television projects which will be produced, along with her producing part Holly Jeter, under their HalleHolly banner, reported Deadline.
In The President Is Missing, which is an adaptation of former US President Bill Clinton and James Patterson's novel of the same name, Berry will essay the role of President Joanna Duncan, who has to escape the US Secret Service and the White House, to save the world from a dangerous terrorist.
Berry will headline Fleur, which will be written and directed Ellie Fourmbi. The film begins production on March 16 in Paris, France.
The actor will star alongside Fortune Feimster and Jillian Bell in Bad Cop, Bad Cop, which is a comedy directed by Kay Cannon. Feimster has served as a writer on the comedy. The film follows two incompetent cops (Feimster and Bell) who have to fight to survive in a ride along with a deadly assassin (Berry).
Molly McAlpline will produce and write The Boy Who Knew Too Much, which is an adaptation of Cathy Byrd's novel of the same name. The novel is a memoir of Byrd's journey in understanding the implications of her son, Christian Haupt's unnatural knowledge of baseball, and of the life and times of Lou Gehrig, a baseball player, whom Christian remembers as being in his past life.
Liz Garbus will direct Berry in Sunburn. Michelle Dean is adapting Laura Lippman's novel of the same name for the big screen. Sunburn follows a mother (Berry), who runs away from her family to a beach town far from them. But this is not the first time that she has done this, with her past including murders, enemies, and people seeking vengeance.
Family Swap will be directed by Jason Moore, and is a comedy based on Jean-Patrick Benes' Le Sens de la famille. The film centers on the James family, consisting of a father in despair, a detached mother, two temparamental teenagers, and an energetic little baby, who find out they have switched bodies with each other.
Parole Officer, which stars Berry in the titular role, will centre around a parole officer who seduces her parolee into a one night stand, which includes illicit substances. With the illicit substances, the parolee has broken the rules of his parole, a fact used by the parole officer to blackmail him into committing a series of crimes. Michael McGrale is set to write the script.
The televison shows announced by the banner are Zero F***s, The Patient, and Mother Doom.
Zero F***s follows the story of three middle aged bestfriends, Berry being one of them, who have to deal with the crises (midlife and real life) following the killing of a friend, they can't tolerate.
In what began as a short story on Reddit's r/nosleep subreddit, The Patient, is the story of a psychiatrict, Parker, who, in his ambitions, takes on Josephine Todd (Berry), an incurable patient, but realises the cost on his sanity, as his treatments progress. Ryan Reynolds produces the show under his Maximum Effor banner.
While Berry is not confirmed to star in Mother Doom, she will produce the show. In Mother Doom, ex-US Special Forces soldier Riley, has to take up arms after she finds out her son, has been murdered on duty.
Berry will be seen alongside Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo in Crime 101, which is set to release theatrically on February 13.
