Actor Timothée Chalamet is on a career high after delivering another Oscar-nominated performance in director Josh Safdie's Marty Supreme. It is Chalamet's third Best Actor Oscar nomination, the first two being for his performances in Call Me by Your Name and A Complete Unknown. However, there was a time in the actor's career when he did not feel like he belonged in Hollywood. The actor opened up about attending a special screening of Interstellar alongside its director Christopher Nolan and his co-stars in the film. The film starred Chalamet as a teenage version of the Matthew McConaughey character Joseph Cooper's son, Tom. While the actor appreciated the film and called it his best-ever cinematic experience, he also expressed disappointment at the limited screen time he received for it.

Speaking recently to Far Out Magazine, the actor said that he felt desolate after realising that many of his scenes did not get into the film, directed by Nolan. The actor reportedly told Emma Stone that he "wept for an hour" following the special screening of Interstellar. At the same time, being part of an ensemble cast, also including Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, and Matt Damon, among others, made him feel like he did not belong there.

"I really had no career at this point," Timothée Chalamet admitted in a candid manner. "I was the fraud a little bit, in a room," he said, referring to his involvement in the star-studded ensemble cast.

Timothée Chalamet is in contention for a Best Actor Oscar this year for his critically acclaimed performance in Marty Supreme. Also nominated in the same category are Michael B Jordan for Sinners, Leonardo DiCaprio for One Battle After Another, Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon, and Wagner Moura for The Secret Agent.
