Stephen Graham's latest award for his performance in Adolescence is the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology, or Television Movie. After months of speculation, Graham revealed that along with co-creator Jack Thorne, a second season for the series is in development.
Speaking to Deadline, at the Golden Globe Awards, about the second season, the actor said, "I cannot answer that question because it’s somewhere in the deep recesses of my mind and Jack’s mind, and we’ll pull it out in three or four years, so stay tuned."
In the same ceremony, Owen Cooper, made history as the youngest winner in the Best Supporting Actor for Television, for his performance in the show. Adolescence's Erin Doherty also won the award for Best Supporting Actress for Television.
The story of the series is centered on a boy, Jaime (Owen Cooper) who is accused of murdering his classmate. The backlash faced by the family, due to Jamie's arrest, weighs on each member, as they navigate life with this burden.
