First look at Ryan Hurst from God of War unveiled

God of War is the live-action adaptation of PlayStation's massively popular ancient mythology-themed God of War video game

Following the cast announcements in Prime Video's upcoming series God of War, the first look at Ryan Hurst, who plays Kratos, and Callum Vinson, who plays Atreus, was revealed by the makers.

The two play the iconic characters in the live-action adaptation of PlayStation's massively popular ancient mythology-themed God of War video game. The series is co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios in association with PlayStation Productions and Tall Ship Productions.

The series follows father and son Kratus and Atreus as they embark on a journey to spread the ashes of their wife and mother, Faye. In this journey filled with adventures has learnings for both. As Kratos teaches his son to be a better god, Atreus teaches his father to be a better human.

The film's cast includes Mandy Patinkin as Odin, Max Parker as Heimdall, Ed Skrein as Baldur, Teresa Palmer as Sif, Olafur Darri Olafsson as Thor, Jeff Gulka as Sindri, Alastair Duncan as Mimir and Danny Woodburn as Brok.

Ronal D Moore serves as the showrunner, writer and executive producer of God of War. Emmy-winning director Frederick EO Toye has signed to direct the first two seasons of the series.
