BAFTA 2026: One Battle After Another, Sinners, Frankenstein win big — Check out the list of winners

There was also a suprise amongst the winners of BAFTA 2026, which saw One Battle After Another take away the most wins

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) recently concluded its annual awards ceremony. Hosted by actor Alan Cummings, the ceremony was held at the Royal Festival Hall, London.

Paul Thomas Anderson's One Battle After Another was the biggest winner of the night, taking home six awards from 14 nominations. Paul Thomas Anderson took home the awards for Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay.

The British drama I Swear also took home two awards. Robert Aramayo trumped Leonardo DiCaprio, Timothee Chalamet, and Michael B Jordan to win the award for Best Leading Actor for his performance in the film.

Meanwhile, Ryan Coogler's Sinners took home three awards. The director won the award for Best Original Screenplay, Ludwig Goransson won the award for Best Original Score, with Wunmi Mosaku taking home the award for Best Supporting Actress.

The BAFTA fellowship was granted to studio executive Donna Langley, the chairwoman of the Universal Filmed Entertainment Group. Meanwhile, the award for Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema was awarded to Claire Binns.

The Manipuri film, Boong won the award for Best Children's and Family Film. The film, directed by Lakshmipriya Devi, is backed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the Excel Entertainment banner.

Late actor Dharmendra, was remembered in the In Memoriam segment of the ceremony.

Best Animated Film: Zootopia 2 (Winner). Other nominees: Elio, Little Amelie.

Best Children's and Family Film: Boong (Winner). Other nominees: Arco, Lilo and Stitch and Zootopia 2.

Oustanding British Film: Hamnet (Winner). Other nominees: 28 Years Later, The Ballad of Wallis Island, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, Die My Love, H is for Hawk, I Swear, Mr Burton, Pillion, and Steve.

Best Film not in the English Language: Sentimental Value (Winner). Other nominees: It Was Just an Accident, The Secret Agent, Sirat, and The Voice of Hind Rajab.

Best Director: Paul Thomas Anderson (One Battle After Another) (Winner). Other nominees: Ryan Coogler (Sinners), Yorgos Lanthimos (Bugonia), Josh Safdie (Marty Supreme), Joachim Trier (Sentimental Value), Chloe Zhao (Hamnet).

Best Leading Actor: Robert Aramayo (I Swear) (Winner). Other nominees: Timothee Chalamet (Marty Supreme), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Michael B Jordan (Sinners), and Jesse Plemons (Bugonia).

Best Leading Actress: Jessie Buckley (Hamnet) (Winner). Other nominees: Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I'd Kick You), Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue), Chase Infiniti (One Battle After Another), Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value), and Emma Stone (Bugonia).

Best Supporting Actor: Sean Penn (One Battle After Another) (Winner). Other nominees: Benicio Del Toro (One Battle After Another), Jacob Elordi (Frankenstein), Paul Mescal (Hamnet), Peter Mullan (I Swear), and Stellan Skarsgard (Sentimental Value).

Best Supporting Actress: Wunmi Mosaku (Sinners) (Winner). Other nominees: Odessa A'zion (Marty Supreme), Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (Sentimental Value), Carey Mulligan (The Ballad of Wallis Island), Teyana Taylor (One Battle After Another), and Emily Watson (Hamnet).

Best Original Screenplay: Ryan Coogler (Sinners) (Winner). Other nominees: Kirk Jones (I Swear), Ronald Bronstien and Josh Safdie (Marty Supreme), Kleber Mendonca Filhor (The Secret Agent), Eskil Vogt and Joachim Trier (Marty Supreme).

Best Adapted Screenplay: Paul Thomas Anderson (One Battle After Another) (Winner). Other nominees: Tom Basden and Tim Key (The Ballad of Wallis Island), Will Tracy (Bugonia), Chloe Zho and Maggie O'Farrell (Hamnet), Harry Lighton (Pillion).

Best Original Score: Ludwig Gorannson (Sinners) (Winner). Other nominees: Jerskin Fendrix (Bugonia), Alexandre Desplat (Frankenstein), Max Richter (Hamnet), Jonny Greenwood (One Battle After Another).

Best Documentary: Mr Nobody Against Putin (Winner). Other nominees: 2000 Meters to Andriivka, Apoalypse in the Tropics, Cover-Up, and The Perfect Neighbor.
