Actor Caleb McLaughlin is best known for his role as Lucas Sinclair in the Duffer Brothers' Stranger Things, which recently wrapped its five-season-long run on Netflix. The other day, the actor reflected on his long stint with the Netflix show.
Speaking to Variety, he said that it has been a "blessing" to end his Stranger Things stint and move on to other projects. The actor also expressed his gratitude for the experiences he has had and the friends he has made over the course of the show.
Sinclair is one of the most popular characters in the Duffer Brothers series. The character undergoes a gradual evolution over the course of the show and has gained good fan support for how he stood up to bullying and for his close relationship with actor Sadie Sink's Max Mayfield.
Caleb McLaughlin expressed his happiness about proceeding to director Tyree Dillihay's animation film Goat, which marks his first big role after the Netflix series. The animation film follows a goat that gets an opportunity to play a sport similar to basketball, called roarball, at the professional level, alongside the strongest and biggest animals in the world. Produced by Stephen Curry, Goat is slated for a February 13 release in theatres. The cast also includes Gabrielle Union, Curry himself, Jennifer Hudson, Nick Kroll, Nicola Coughlan, David Harbour, Aaron Pierre, Jenifer Lewis, Patton Oswalt, Bobby Lee, Andrew Santino, Eduardo Franco, Jelly Roll, and Sherry Cola.
In the meantime, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, an animated series based on the popular Netflix show from the Duffer Brothers, is set to drop on Netflix a few months later.
