Jeremy Strong to star in Crossroads

Actor Jeremy Strong is set to play the lead in the upcoming Netflix series Crossroads, an adaptation of Jonathan Franzen's novel of the same name.

Set in the early 70s in the US, the series follows a Midwestern pastor and his family who flee in search of their desires and freedom in different directions after a church scandal is exposed. The 2021 novel by Frazen is the first in a trilogy, which he named "A Key to All Mythologies".

The series hails from Media Res with Strong, in addition to starring, also serves as an executive producer. Amy Herzog, who is known for her works in Scenes From a Marriage and Savant, is attached as the writer for this project. With Strong, Franzen, Herzog, Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer also serving as the executive producers.

Popular for his role of Kendall Roy in HBO series Succession, which fetched an Emmy, Strong's acting credits include Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, Zero Dark Thirty, Parkland, and The Big Short.
