The Devil Wears Prada 2 Trailer: A sassy Meryl Streep fails to recognize a rebranded Anne Hathaway

Earlier today, the trailer of The Devil Wears Prada 2 was released online. The film, directed by David Frankel, reunites the quartet, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, from The Devil Wears Prada (2006).

The trailer reveals the return of Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), this time as a Features Editor of Runway Magazine. Hilariously, Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), Andy's former boss, doesn't recognize her. The trailer also gives a glimpse of the new office of Runway Magazine and a sassy Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt) who roasts Andy's eyebrows. In the film, Miranda is grappling to stay relevant amidst a failing print journalism who has to face off with Emily, now working for a luxury conglomerate.

The Devil Wears Prada (2006) follows a young fashion graduate, Andy, who begins working under Miranda for Runway Magazine. Struggling to keep up with the highs and lows of the new job, paired with a demanding boss, she strives to balance work-life relationships.

The film was a critical and commercial blockbuster. It won 23 awards including the the BAFTA for Best Adapted Screenplay and an Academy Award for Meryl Streep in the Best Performance by an Actress category.

The makers have also confirmed that Simone Ashley, Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux and BJ Novak, among others, are starring in the sequel. The film is backed by 20th Century Studios and Wendy Finerman Productions.

The teaser of the film was released on November 2025. The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to have its theatrical release on May 1.
