The cast of Miami Vice 85 is ramping up as the latest to join is actor Camila Morrone. The upcoming reboot will be directed by Joseph Kosinksi, who is known for Top Gun: Maverick (2022) and F1 (2025).
The upcoming film is based on Michael Mann's series, Miami Vice, which followed two undercover detectives James Crockett (Don Johnson) and Ricardo Tubbs (Philip Michael Hall) as they navigate the world of crime. Mann later adapted the series into a movie, starring Colin Farrell as Crockett and Jamie Foxx as Tubbs, which released in 2006. Now, for the upcoming reboot, Austin Butler will portray Crockett with Michael B Jordan as Tubbs.
Kosinksi is directing Miami Vice 85 from a script by Dan Gilroy, the director of Nightcrawler (2014). The cast of the film also includes Alden Ehrenreich and Whitney Peak.
Meanwhile, Morrone was previously seen in The Night Manager season two and Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen. She has the series adaptation of The Age of Innocence, in the pipeline.
