The makers of the upcoming psychological horror-thriller Exit to the Guillotine, starring Peyton List (Cobra Kai) and Gustaf Skarsgard (Oppenheimer), announced that the production has concluded.
Directed by Zachary Cotler, the film follows Burne Peter (List), an off-Broadway actor, who joins an international theatre troupe set at a decommissioned prison in Ukraine. Every time she, her troupe, and famous but unstable director Dado Levytskyy rehearse a new translation of an old Polish play, an actor keeps vanishing.
List and Skarsgard are joined by Kesnia Daniela Kharlamova, Marcin Czarnik, Dylan Douglas, Lea Myren, Nikki Siulepa, Jan Klapyta, Pablo Sandstrom, and Michael Golab.
In addition to writing and directing, Cotler also produces his film under his Winter Film Company banner. Magdelana Zyzak, J, Bonnie Timmermann, Jean Pierre Magro, and Marius Vilunus are joining him as producers.
Cortel made his directorial debut with Maya Dardel in 2017, followed by The Wall of Mexico and When I'm a Moth (both in 2019).
