House of the Dragon Season 3: The teaser for the third season of House of the Dragon has been released by HBO. The third season has also been announced to premiere on HBO Max, internationally, on June 21. A simultaneous premiere on June 22, is expected.

The teaser shows the aftermath of every fight in the war between the Greens and the Blacks. On the side of the Blacks, Rheanyra Targaryan's (Emma D'Arcy) ascent to the throne proves harder by the battle, while Daemon Targaryan (Matt Smith) is forced to reaffirm his objective. Meanwhile, on the side of the Greens, Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) desperately assimilates power, with Cristin Cole (Fabien Frankle) left to deal with the outcomes of the war.

Based on George RR Martin's Fire and Blood, House of the Dragon is created by Martin and Ryan Condal, with the latter serving as the showrunner.

The cast for the third season includes Smith, D'Arcy, Cooke, Frankel, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Matthew Needham, James Norton, Tom Bennett, Kieran Bew, Kurt Egyiawan, Freddie Fox, Clinton Liberty, Gayle Rankin, Abubakar Salim, Tom Cullen, Tommy Flanagan, Dan Fogler, Joplin Sibtain, and Barry Sloane.

The series has also been renewed for a fourth and final season which is set to premiere in 2028.

Apart from House of the Dragon, other projects in HBO's universe which began with Game of Thrones, based on Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, is A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, which has been renewed for a second season premiering in 2027. A film based on 'Aegon's Conquest', was recently announced with House of Cards and Andor writer Beau Willimon, penning the script.
