As reported earlier, the Russo Brothers have two MCU films in various stages of production: Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Ever since the announcements of both, there has been some speculation about how the story arcs of these films are connected with each other. Recently, Marvel Studios' President Kevin Feige talked about the connection between both films.

Speaking to Fandango, Feige said, "I think people familiar with comic stories see that they will relate, but they relate in a very different way than Infinity War and Endgame." Feige admitted that audiences expect Doomsday and Secret Wars to have a connection between each other that is similar to Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. "While one certainly does lead into the other, it is in a very different way, and I will say that Secret Wars is as ambitious a project as we have ever embarked on," the Marvel Studios President added.

Avengers: Doomsday brings back many of the familiar faces from the superhero franchise from Marvel Studios, including Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, and Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, among others. Meanwhile, Robert Downey Jr makes his MCU return with Doomsday not as his popular Iron Man role but rather as Doctor Doom. From recent promotional materials and going by reports, the film is set to follow a showdown between Earth's mightiest heroes, including the Avengers, and Doctor Doom.

Avengers: Doomsday is slated for a December 18 release in theatres. On the other hand, Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to hit theatres on December 17 next year. Secret Wars is still in a preproduction stage.
