Josh Brolin will join the cast of the action comedy, Mister. Brolin was recently seen alongside Julia Garner, in Zach Cregger's Weapons.

Mister is the directorial debut of Wade Eastwood, who previously served as an action choreographer on Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning and Jumanji - The Next Level. Eastwood directs the film from a script by Nick Inglis and Nicki Cortese. Brolin will serve as a producer on Mister, through his namesake banner, Brolin Productions. Cortese is also serving as a producer along with Erica Lee, Basil Iwanyk, and Wayne Marc Godfrey. Thunder Road and Bright White Light are also backing the film.

According to Deadline, the story of the film centres around a man who wakes up, in a house he does not recognise, covered in blood. He has to escape his present with his daughter, with whom he has to repair his relationship, along with learning about himself.

Brolin will next be seen in Edgar Wright's The Running Man, which is an adaptation of Stephen King's novel of the same name. Glen Powell leads the cast of the film, which follows a man named Ben Richards (Powell), who joins a show, where the contestants, who are the top hitmen in the world, will have to chase and kill Ben, for an exorbitant amount of money. Brolin plays the role of Dan Killian, the show's producer. The Running Man is set to release theatrically in India on November 14.
