Actor Laura Gordon, known for Late Night With the Devil, is the latest to join the cast of Blumhouse and Sony’s Insidious 6. She joins previously announced cast members Brandon Perea who's leading this instalment, Amelie Eve, Lin Shaye who's reprising her role, Misie Richardson-Sellers, Sam Spruell and Island Austin.

Insidious 6 will be directed by Jacob Chase, with a script he co-wrote with David Leslie Johnson. Chase, who directed The Girl In The Woods, is also known for his previous short film Mr Blur, which won the International Jury Award for Best Director at Fantasia 2023.

The film is produced by Jason Blum, Oren Peli, James Wan and Leigh Whannell, with executive producers Ryan Turek, Steven Schneider, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Johnson.

The previous instalment, titled Insidious: The Red Door (2023), emerged as the highest-grossing film of the franchise. With worldwide gross earnings over $700 million, Insidious remains one of the most successful horror film franchises of all times.

The Insidious franchise has raked in over $731 million worldwide with five films, starting from its launch at the Toronto International Film Festival 15 years ago, where Sony/Stage 6 Films acquired the title. The new instalment is slated to hit theatres on August 21, 2026.

In addition to the sixth installment in the series, the makers are also reportedly planning a spinoff titled Thread: An Insidious Tale, featuring Mandy Moore and Kumail Nanjiani.

Gordon recently completed work on Amazon MGM Studios’ feature Voltron, where she shared the screen with Henry Cavill, Rita Ora, Sterling K Brown, and Alba Baptista. Her upcoming projects include the series Watching You. She was also seen in Hotel Cocaine alongside Danny Pino and Michael Chiklis, as well as in Cameron and Colin Cairnes’ horror film Late Night with the Devil with David Dastmalchian. The latter premiered at SXSW in 2023 and went on to be recognized as one of the standout horror films of 2024.
