IT: Welcome to Derry is a prequel series to IT and IT: Chapter 2, which is set to premiere on JioHotstar on October 27

The makers of the upcoming horror series, IT: Welcome to Derry have released a new trailer, recently. The series is set to premiere on JioHotstar on October 27.

The series is developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs. Andy Muschietti is the director of IT and IT: Chapter Two, for which the series serves as a prequel. Fuchs and Caleb Kane are serving as co-showrunners on the show. They serve as executive producers along with Bill Skarsgard, who plays Pennywise the Clown in the films and the series, David Coatsworth, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin.

IT: Welcome to Derry, stars Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Skarsgard.

Based on Stephen King's novel It, the series follows the story of a group of kids in Derry, Maine, USA, in the year 1962. The arrival of a family into town coincides with bad things happening to it, with the haunting of a dark entity looming over it.
