With the Indian release of the film set for October 17, the second trailer of Aziz Ansari's Good Fortune, starring Ansari, Keanu Reeves, Seth Rogen, Keke Palmer, and Sandra Oh, was unveiled by the makers on Monday.

The glimpse depicts Keanu Reeves' angel Gabriel, falling from grace after a flaw, learning to live like a mortal human. He is on earth, intervenes in the lives of a struggling gig worker (Ansari) and an affluent venture capitalist (Rogen) to teach a lesson on the futility of money and that earning money is not an end in itself.

The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6 to a rave reception.

This is Ansari's second directing endeavour after the Searchlight dramedy Being Mortal, which was cancelled in 2022 due to accusations of inappropriate behaviour made by actor Bill Murray.

Before this, he directed 11 episodes of Yang's critically acclaimed Netflix series Master of None, which he co-created, as well as his 2022 comedy special Nightclub Comedian.

Lionsgate presents the film, which is backed by Aziz Ansari, Anthony Katagas, and Alan Yang. Aniz Adam Ansari, Jonathan McCoy, Christopher Woodrow, and Connor DiGregorio serve as executive producers. PVR INOX Pictures is bringing the film to Indian theatres.
