Netflix's crime thriller Monster is adding more to its cast for the fourth season as Billie Lourd and Jessica Barden join the series. The third season of the series, Monster: The Ed Gein Story, is set to premiere on October 3.

The anthology is created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. The series chronicled the story of Jeffrey Dahmer in the first season and the Menendez brothers in the second season. The upcoming third season is set to chronicle the story of serial killer Ed Gein. Max Winkler, Barden's husband, will serve as a director on the series. Production on the series begins later this year.

The fourth season will focus on the story of Lizzie Borden, a woman who killed her parents. Ella Beatty will star as Borden, with Rebecca Hall and Krieps also starring in the fourth season. According to Deadline, Lourd will play the role of Lizzie's elder sister, Emma, with Barden as Nance O'Neill.

Lourd is set to star alongside Andrew Garfield in Luca Guadagnino's Artificial. Yura Borisov, Cooper Koch, Monica Barabaro, Zosia Mamet, and Chris O'Dowd also star in the film. Barden recently played the role of young Valya Harkonnen in the Dune (2021) spin-off Dune: Prophecy.
