The makers of filmmaker Gurinder Chadha's Christmas Karma unveiled the trailer of the film on Wednesday.

The over two-minute glimpse depicts Kunal Nayyar as a grumpy and angry person who is a killjoy and sees celebrations as a disturbance. During the Christmas season, the ghosts of his past appear in front of him to remind him where he started from, and this is expected to prompt him to take on an inward journey and rethink his ideas. Nayyar is known for his humourous role as Rajesh Koothrapalli in the popular sitcom, The Big Bang Theory.

An adaptation of Charles Dickens' novella A Christmas Carol, the film, according to the executive producer Anushka Shah, will question people like Rishi Sunak, who has made it to the highest office in the UK due to immigration but once in power opposes immigration policies. The film is also inspired by Frank Capra's It's A Wonderful Life.

Apart from Nayyar, the film stars Eva Longoria, Billy Porter, Boy George, Danny Dyer, Leo Suter, Pixie Lott, Charithra Chandran, and Hugh Bonneville.

Christmas Karma is releasing in theatres on November 14.
