The makers of the upcoming film Anaconda have released the trailer for the film. The adventure comedy, which stars Jack Black and Paul Rudd in the lead, is set to release theatrically on Christmas.

Anaconda is directed by Tom Gormican, from a script he wrote with Kevin Etten. Gormican and Etten produce the film alongside Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, with Samson Mucke serving as the executive producer. Sony Pictures Entertainment is backing the film.

The cast for the film also includes Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello. The story of the film follows two friends Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd), who set out deep into the Amazon Rainforest, after a mid-life crisis prompts them to remake their all-time favourite movie, Anaconda (1997). The filming becomes chaotic as they are chased by an actual anaconda.

The 1997 film, was directed by Luis Llosa, and starred Jennifer Lopez, Jon Voight, Ice Cube, Owen Wilson, and Danny Trejo, among others. It went on to spawn four sequels.
