Teresa Palmer is diving into Amazon MGM Studios' new submarine thriller, Subversion. The actor, fresh off her role opposite Ryan Gosling in The Fall Guy, joins a star-studded cast that includes Chris Hemsworth, Michael Peña, Joe Cole, and Lily James. The Hollywood Reporter is the first to confirm Palmer's casting in the film.
Patrick Vollrath, known for his work on 7500, is directing the film from a script by Andrew Ferguson. Subversion stars Hemsworth as a once-revered naval commander, who finds himself forced to pilot a submarine carrying illegal cargo through international waters. The plot thickens as a determined Coast Guard officer (Lily James) relentlessly pursues the vessel.
David Wenham, Robert John Burke, and Simone Kessell are also on board for the film. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing the project, with Stephen Shafer and Greg Cohen serving as executive producers for di Bonaventura Pictures.
Palmer is known for her roles in films such as Hacksaw Ridge, Warm Bodies, and Knight of Cups. She has also appeared in series such as A Discovery of Witches and The Clearing.
The actor has many projects lined up, including Bear Country alongside Russell Crowe, Nina Dobrev, and Aaron Paul. She is also set to appear in Orion's 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank, featuring Liam Neeson, Talia Ryder, and Whitney Peak.
