Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig are returning for the third mystery in the Knives Out saga, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. The murder mystery is set to premiere on Netflix on December 12.

Speaking about the film to Netflix, Johnson said, "It’s more similar to the first Knives Out in that it gets back to the real origins of the genre, which predate Agatha Christie, going back to Edgar Allan Poe. It’s still a Benoit Blanc mystery, so it’s funny and fun, but it’s set in an old stone church, there are lots of graveyards."

In Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) joins forces with police chief Geraldine Scott (Mila Kunis) to solve an impossible murder that rocks a small town in New York State, USA.

The rest of the cast of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery includes Josh O’Connor, Josh Brolin, Glenn Close, Thomas Haden Church, Kerry Washington, Daryl McCormack, Jeremy Renner, Andrew Scott, and Cailee Spaeny.

Speaking about the film Craig said, "What Rian’s movies do best s subvert the genre. You start off thinking you’re watching an old-fashioned sort of Agatha Christie-type mystery — but then it shifts, and you realize you’re watching something entirely different."
