Two years after FX's The Bear set a record grabbing 10 trophies at the Emmys, including Outstanding Comedy Series and three acting awards, The Studio has dethroned its achievement by winning a whopping 13 awards on Sunday during the 77th Emmy Awards that took place at Los Angeles.

The Apple TV+ series, created by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Frida Pérez, Pete Huyck, Alex Gregory won in some major categories including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series for Seth Rogen, Outstanding Directing for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, Outstanding Writing and more.

Seth Rogen also had a part to play as a record-creator as he took home three awards, tying with the record for the most Emmys won by an individual in a single night, sharing the spot with Moira Demos (2016), Amy Sherman-Palladino (2018), and Dan Levy (2020). Moreover, Pérez is the first Latino ever to win comedy writing and only the second Latino ever to win as a producer in any top series race in Emmy history.

Taking the stage during the event where it earned Outstanding Comedy Series, Seth Rogen said, "I'm legitimately ambarassed about how happy this makes me. If you watched our show, appreciated it and voted for it, thank you very much. And to be standing up here with all these people, they are best I know. It has been one of the greatest honours of my life to have them spend their days working with me."

The series also secured nine wins at last weekend’s Creative Arts Emmys including Production Design for a Half-Hour Narrative Program, Music Composition for a Series, Music Supervision, Editing, Visual Effects, and Best Comedy Guest Actor for Bryan Cranston, among others.

The Studio earned 23 Emmy nominations this year, setting a new record for the most nominations received by a freshman comedy, surpassing the 20 nods Ted Lasso garnered in 2021. It also matches the record for the highest number of nominations ever for a comedy series, tying with The Bear, which achieved the feat with its second season in 2024.
