Stranger Things Season 5 trailer: Netflix has released the trailer for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. Set in the middle of 1987, the new season starts right where the fourth season ended, with Hawkins facing its most dangerous foe, Vecna.

The trailer opens with Vecna finally beginning his takeover of the real world, after the barrier between the Upside Down and the real world was broken. With Queen's 'Who Wants To Live Forever' playing in the background, the trailer shows the gang including Joyce Byers listening to Mike Wheeler's plan to end Vecna. The trailer also shows a glimpse of the all out war against Vecna, including Eleven/Jane Hopper (Millie Bobby Brown) fighting him, and the army of Demogorgons attacking the soldiers in the real world.

Ross Duffer, the co-creator of the show said, "I think what's unique about this season is that it starts a little bit in chaos because our heroes ultimately lost at the end of Season 4. We usually set up their normal life and how they’re going about school, and then we introduce the supernatural element. But in this case, this season is sprinting from the start." Matt Duffer, the co-creator, added, "They’re not experiencing normal life. Nothing in Hawkins is normal anymore…their movement is restricted, and there are Big Brother cameras everywhere. So not only are they active — their everyday, normal lives are anything but."

Returning for the final season are Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, and Jamie Campbell Bower. Joining the cast are Jake Connelly, Alex Breaux, with Linda Hamilton as Dr Kay.

The fifth season of Stranger Things is set to release on Netflix in three volumes. The first volume, consisting of four episodes, is premiering on November 26. The second volume, consisting of three episodes, is premiering on Christmas. The finale is releasing on December 31. All the volumes will be released on 06.30 am on the respective release days.
