We had previously reported about Pedro Pascal headlining the Tony Gilroy directorial Behemoth!. On Tuesday, Olivia Wilde officially came onboard for the project.
Besides directing the film, Tony Gilroy is also serving as the script-writer for Behemoth!. The film marks the filmmaker’s return as a writer-director after his 2012 movie The Bourne Legacy. He is also producing the film in association with Sanne Wohlenberg. Damian Garcia serves as the cinematographer. David Harbour and Eva Victor are part of the film's cast.
The film is being bankrolled under Searchlight Pictures. While the makers have kept a lid on the storyline, the film reportedly revolves around the life of a cellist. The film will go on floors later this week. More details about the primary crew are yet to be announced.
Wilde’s upcoming films include The Invite, which she also directs, starring Penelope Cruz, Seth Rogan and Edward Norton, and I Want Your Sex, directed by Gregg Araki.
Pedro Pascal was recently seen in films like Ari Aster's Eddington, Celine Song's Materialists and The Fantastic Four: First Steps this year. Additionally, he reprised his role as Joel Miller in season 2 of The Last of Us. Besides Avengers: Doomsday, his upcoming projects include The Mandalorian and Grogu in the works.
