Jared Bush and Byron Howard are directing the film which is produced by Yvett Marino. The cast for the film includes Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Ke Huy Quan, Idris Elba, Nate Torrence, Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Macaulay Culkin, Brenda Song, Quinta Brunson, Patrick Warburton, and Fortune Feimster.

In Zootopia 2, Judy and Nick's partnership, which is not firm yet, is put to the test when they are ordered to pursue the case of a venomous snake entering the city.
