Netflix has released the trailer for the upcoming film Ballad of a Small Player. The film, which is headlined by Colin Farrell, premieres on October 29.

Edward Berger directs Ballad of a Small Player from a script by Rowan Joffe, who in turn adapted the Lawrence Osborn's novel, which was published in 2014. Berger also produces the film along with Mike Goodridge and Matthew James Wilkinson. This is Berger's second collaboration with Netflix after All Quiet on the Western Front. Berger is also known for directing Conclave.

The cast of the film includes Fala Chen, Deanie Ip, Alex Jennings and Tilda Swinton. The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Farrell will star as Lord Doyle, who is hiding in Macau hiding from his past debts. During his period of hiding, he finds solitude in a kind person, as his past catches up to him.
