Joel Edgerton will headline the upcoming series Trigger Point. Edgerton reunites with Netflix for the series, after his recent release, Train Dreams

Trigger Point is created by Harrison Query, who also serves as a showrunner. will be directed by Jeremy Saulnier, who has directed Rebel Ridge and Green Room, previously. Saulnier also serves as an executive producer alongside Joe Hipps and Patrick Macdonald. A24 and Cut To are the banners backing the series.

Edgerton will play Red in Trigger Point, which follows the story of former Special Forces soldiers who become contractors for the criminal underworld, until an FBI agent starts to pursue them.

Edgerton's Train Dreams premiered on Netflix on November 21. The film  is directed by Clint Bentley, and stars Felicity Jones, Kerry Condon, and William H Macy, among others. The story of the film follows Robert Grainier (Edgerton) a logger and railroad worker in 20th century America, as he witnesses the sweeping changes around him that changes his life.
