Project Hail Mary trailer 2: Ryan Gosling saves a star with 'Rocky'

Amazon MGM Studios have released the second trailer for Project Hail Mary. The Ryan Gosling headliner is currently set to release in 2026.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who have previously directed Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, is directing Project Hail Mary. Drew Goddard, who created Netflix's Daredevil, has written the screenplay for the film, which is based on Andy Weir's novel of the same name, which was published in 2021. Lord, Miller, Weir, and Gosling, are producing the film along with Amy Pascal, Aditya Sood, and Rachel O'Connor. Pascal Pictures is also backing the film.

The cast of the film also includes Sandra Huller, Ken Leung, Milana Vayntrub, Lionel Boyce, Liz Kingsman, and Orion Lee.

The official synopsis of the film reads, "Science teacher Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction… but an unexpected friendship means he may not have to do it alone."
