Michael's trailer amasses record breaking views within days of release

Within days of its release, the trailer for Michael has amassed more than 11.6 crore views. Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua, is the biopic of the 'King of Pop', Michael Jackson.

Deadline reported that apart from having high viewership, the trailer for the film has become the most-watched trailer for a music biopic or concert film in history. The short trailer featured the voice of producer Quincy Jones, a long time collaborator of Jackson, narrating over a montage of the greatest hits of Jackson's performances.

Jackson will be portrayed by Jaafar Jackson, the son of Jermaine Jackson, Michael Jackson's brother. The cast of the film also includes Miles Teller, Larenz Tate, Laura Harrier, Nia Long, and Colman Domingo among others.

Michael is directed by Antoine Fuqua, who has directed films like Training Day and The Equalizer. The film will follow the journey of the King of Pop from his time as part of the Jackson 5, a band he forms with his brothers, to his stardom, and his eventual death in 2009.
