The Very Best People is building its cast with several additions being made. Paul Walter Hauser, Lili Reinhart, Tim Roth, Jake Lacy, Kerry Bishe, and Jai Courtney have joined the film's cast, reports Deadline.

Craig Cox and John Lavelle have written the film, which is based on Lavelle's play of the same name. Details about the plot have not been released yet.

Hauser is best known for his work on I, Tonya. Reinhart was one of the leads in Netflix's Riverdale. Tim Roth is well known for his work in films like Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and The Hateful Eight. In the last season of the US version of The Office, Jake Lacy had a recurring role. Jai Courtney is known for his role as Captain Boomerang in Suicide Squad (2016). Kerry Bishe was recently seen in Madame Webb.

The film is directed by Brian Swibel in his feature directorial debut. Hauser, Dan Reardon, Reinhart, and Lisa Wolofsky are serving as executive producers for the film. Brent Emery, Bita Khorrami, Justin Klosky, Alex Peace-Power, Tara Smith, and Bonnie Timmerman are producing the film. Tryptyk Studios is backing the film.

The Very Best People is set to begin production in New York on May 22.
