Hernán Jiménez is attached to direct a feature film based on Jane Fallon’s novel Getting Rid Of Matthew from his own adapted screenplay. The film is set to star Emma Roberts, Luke Wilson, and Heather Graham.

It follows a youngster (Roberts) whose tendency to do what her heart says, leads her to the job (in New York) that she wanted all her life. There, she has an affair with her charismatic, talented and incredibly confident boss (Wilson). However, they must keep their affair a secret because Matthew is also in a marital relationship with Sophie (Graham). According to the official synopsis, "Helen thinks confronting Matthew will solve the problem, but when he turns up at her doorstep – dishevelled, crying, and with all his worldly possessions – having dumped Sophie, Helen realises she’s stuck living with a middle-aged baby, a self-obsessed man with arrested development who’s spectacularly falling into a mid-life crisis, and who has a hell of a lot of bad habits.”

Director Jiménez is known for the Michael Peña starrer A Million Miles Away. His most recent credit is the Nina Dobrev starrer Love Hard. Elysa Koplovitz and Leslie Morgenstein of Alloy Entertainment are set to produce the film. It is set to go on floors this October.
