It was reported last November that Lil Rel Howery will helm and star in the comedy horror Haunted Heist, with Tiffany Haddish playing the female lead.

The latest update from the makers is that Andrew Bachelor, of The Babysitter fame; Karlous Miller, of Wild 'N Out fame; Brett Gelman, of Stranger Things fame; newcomer Tara Terry; Ari Dayan, of Entitled fame; and Tony Baker, of One of Them Days fame, have joined the star cast of the film.

The film, which is in pre-production currently, marks Howery's directorial debut with the screenplay penned by Carl Reid, known for his work in Mr Crocket. Haunted Heist follows four estranged friends who reunite at a seemingly unsuspicious house. One friend, without the knowledge of others, plans to rob the house in search of a valuable antique, unaware that the house is haunted. His act provokes the ghosts, forcing the friends to survive the night while battling their differences.

Haunted Heist is produced by Howery, Sean King O'Grady, Josh Feldman, and Jesse Ford, while Feras M Shammami, Kendall Anlian, and Priscilla Ross Smith serve as the executive producers. The film's technical team comprises cinematographer James McMillan and editor Shane Patrick Ford.
