The makers of Season Two of Doctor Who released the trailer for the new season online. Ncuti Gatwa, known for his role in Sex Education, stars as the Doctor.

Doctor Who follows the adventures of the Doctor, an alien from a species known as Time Lords, as he travels through space and time in a police box like device known as TARDIS. Gatwa portrays the Fifteenth Doctor and is joined by Millie Gibson as his companion, Ruby Sunday, and Varada Sethu as Belinda Chandra. The new season follows the Doctor as he goes on a quest to return Belinda Chandra to Earth.

The long-running series was started to be distributed by Disney+ internationally after a deal between Disney+ and BBC. While the new season is the fifteenth season overall, it is the second season distributed by Disney+.

Along with Gatwa, Gibson, and Sethu, the cast includes Rose Ayling-Ellis, Christopher Chung, Rylan Clark, Alan Cumming, Anita Dobson, Freddie Fox, Michelle Greenidge, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruth Madeley, Jemma Redgrave, and Susan Twist.

Russell T Davies is the showrunner and writer for this season. He serves as an executive producer with Joel Collins, Phil Collinson, Julie Gardner, and Jane Tranter. Doctor Who is produced by Bad Wolf and BBC Studios for Disney Branded Television, BBC One, and BBC iPlayer.
