Universal Studios is adapting yet another of Colleen Hoover's novels, Reminders of Him. The film will feature Longlegs-fame Maika Monroe in the lead role with Vanessa Caswill onboard to helm.

This adaptation comes after the release of It Ends With Us last year. Hoover's Verity and Regretting You are also being adapted into feature films.

Based on the novel, Reminders of Him will feature a screenplay written by the author along with Lauren Levine. Reminders of Him revolves around Kenna Rowan, who returns to her hometown after serving a five-year prison sentence, seeking redemption and a reunion with her young daughter. Despite facing resistance from everyone except local bar owner Ledger Ward, Kenna forms a connection with him, but their blossoming romance risks jeopardising her chances of rebuilding her life and healing from past mistakes.

Hoover and Levine are also backing the film under their Heartbones Entertainment banner. Also producing is Little Engine Productions' Gine Matthews. Robin Fischella will serve as an executive producer.

Some of Hoover's other works include It Starts With Us, Layla, Heart Bones and Confess. Reminders of Him was first published in 2022 and became a bestselling novel worldwide.

Coming fresh off the success of Longlegs, Monroe is currently working on the reimagining of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, backed by 20th Century.
