The film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's Regretting You adds Scott Eastwood to the cast. He joins the growing cast, comprising Allison Williams, Dave Franco, Mckenna Grace, Mason Thames and Willa Fitzgerald. The Fault In Our Stars director Josh Boone is all set to helm the upcoming film.

Susan McMartin, known for her work on After, wrote the first draft of the script for Regretting You, which Boone then rewrote. In Regretting You, Williams will portray Morgan Grant, a devoted mother who put her own dreams on hold to raise her daughter Clara. As Clara navigates her tumultuous teenage years, their relationship becomes strained, especially after the sudden loss of Chris, Morgan's husband and Clara's father. Franco co-stars as Jonah, a new love interest who enters Morgan's life as she copes with her grief.

Eastwood's role in the film is yet to be disclosed. Regretting You is Hoover's 2019 bestselling novel and her second book to be adapted to a film after It Ends With Us. She executive produces the film along with Williams, Franco and Grace. Robert Kulzer, Brunson Green, Anna Todd and Flavia Viotti are the producers of the film. Hoover's Verity is also being adapted and will star Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett.

Scott Eastwood has a diverse slate of upcoming projects, including Lucky Strike, reuniting him with The Outpost director Rod Lurie, as well as Stolen Girl alongside Kate Beckinsale, Alarum with Sylvester Stallone, Pearl with West Duchovny, and Wind River: Rising, a sequel to the 2017 crime drama.

Eastwood's recent film credits include 1992, opposite Tyrese Gibson and the late Ray Liotta; Fast X, the latest installment in the Fast & Furious franchise; and Amazon's romantic comedy I Want You Back, alongside Charlie Day, Jenny Slate, and Gina Rodriguez.

In addition to his acting career, Eastwood is the co-founder of Made Here, a product line featuring American-made clothing, accessories, and beer.
