JioHotstar revealed that Disney's Moana 2 is to be released on the streaming platform on March 14. Moana 2 was released in theatres in India on November 29, 2024.

The film follows the events of Moana (2016), in which Maui and Moana must set out on a new voyage with an unconventional crew after receiving a call from her ancestors. With her crew and Maui, Moana must travel and face the hurdles at sea on her adventure.

Auli'i Cravalho stars as Moana with Dwayne Johnson as the demigod Maui. The rest of the cast includes Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda, Temuera Morrison, Nicole Scherzinger, David Fane, Hualalai Chung, and Rose Matafeo. The film is directed by David Derrick Jr, Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller. Produced by Christina Chen and Yvett Merino, music for the film is by Abigail Barlow, Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa‘i, and Mark Mancina. Jennifer Lee, Bush, and Johnson served as executive producers, with Bush and Miller writing the film.

Moana 2 is set to premiere on JioHotstar on March 14, in English and Hindi.
