A Nice Indian Boy trailer: Jonathan Groff is more Indian than Karan Soni in this queer rom-com

The trailer for the upcoming American queer rom-com, A Nice Indian Boy, was unveiled on Wednesday. Starring Karan Soni and Jonathan Groff in lead roles, the film is helmed by Roshan Sethi.

The official description of A Nice Indian Boy reads, "When Naveen (Karan Soni), a soft-spoken doctor, finally brings his charming white-artist boyfriend Jay (Jonathan Groff) home to meet his traditional Indian family, misunderstandings and emotional revelations put everyone on edge. Despite facing uncomfortable truths about their own ideas of love and marriage, the family attempts to plan the big Indian wedding of Naveen and Jay’s dreams."

Sunita Mani, Zarna Garg, Harish Patel, Peter S Kim, and Sas Goldberg round out the supporting cast of A Nice Indian Boy. Eric Randall has penned the screenplay for the film, which is based on a play by Madhuri Shekar.

Madhuri Shekar, Karan Soni, Steve Sarowitz, Angela Cardon, Jamal Daniel, Thalia Daniel, Mindy Kaling, Jessica Kumai Scott, and Daniel Bekerman are the executive producers of A Nice Indian Boy, which is all set to hit theatres on April 4.
