Abigail Breslin and Booboo Stewart are set to star in A Good Fight, an upcoming dramedy from director Robert Rippberger. The film, which also features Aaron Kuban, explores how an unexpected interview shifts the course of two lives.

Written by Dan in Real Life scribe Pierce Gardner, the story follows a successful small-town businessman whose routine conversation with a college journalist unexpectedly leads to major personal revelations. With a tone likened to It’s a Wonderful Life, the film promises an emotional journey about purpose and perspective.

Production is slated to begin later this month in North Carolina, with scenes being shot at Rippberger’s White Lightning Studios and Meredith College in Raleigh. Justin Shaner and Fernando H Rojas are producing the film under the Sobe Brooke Studios banner.

Stewart, known for roles in the X-Men and Twilight franchises, was recently cast in the chess-themed thriller Contra opposite Kal Penn. Breslin, who earned an Academy Award nomination for Little Miss Sunshine, has gone on to appear in Zombieland, August: Osage County, Stillwater, and TV series like Scream Queens and Accused.
