One of Them Days sequel in development, Keke Palmer and SZA to reprise roles

Keke Palmer and SZA are set to join hands once again for One of Them Days sequel that is currently in the works at TriStar Pictures. The buddy comedy, released earlier this year was directed by Lawrence Lamont in his debut and written by Syreeta Singleton.

While the film's original creative team is expected to also return for the upcoming sequel, plot details have not yet been revealed.

A critical and commercial success, One of Them Days revolved around two friends (played by SZA and Keke Palmer) who must scramble to find rent money after one of their boyfriends blows through it. Together they must avoid eviction and also keep their friendship together. The film marked singer-songwriter SZA's film debut.

The cast also featured Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Maude Apatow, Katt Williams, Joshua Neal, Aziza Scott, Patrick Cage, Dewayne Perkins, Amin Joseph, Gabrielle Dennis and DomiNque Perry.

One of Them Days was backed by Issa Rae's Hoorae Media. Macro Film Studios co-financed the project. ColorCreative co-founder Deniese Davis, Hoorae’s Sara Rastogi and Macro’s James Lopez and Poppy Hanks also produced the film. Palmer, Sharon Palmer, Charles D.] King and Jeff Valeri served as executive producers.
