The Fantastic Four: First Steps has grossed $218 million at the global box office, reports Variety. With a production cost of above $200 million, the film is set to be Marvel Studios' first post-pandemic entry to match the collections of original Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films, such as The Avengers franchise. According to Sacnilk, the Matt Shakman directorial has grossed around 22 crore over the first four days since its release in India.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps brings back Marvel's First Family—Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Ben Grimm (The Thing)—as they confront their biggest challenge yet. They must protect Planet Earth from a destructive cosmic force known as Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, the Silver Surfer. At the same time, the heroes must balance their powers and roles with familial responsibilities and the larger duty to protect planet Earth.

The film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm / Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm / The Thing. The cast also includes Ralph Ineson as Galactus, Julia Garner as Shalla-Bal / Silver Surfer, Paul Walter Hauser as Harvey Elder / Mole Man, Natasha Lyonne as Rachel Rozman, and Sarah Niles as Lynne Nichols. The film is set in a universe, Earth-828, which goes beyond the main Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) timeline.
