Staying on course with her string of women centric projects, Nicola Coughlan is on board I Am..., an anthology series from BBC. Coughlan broke out with Derry Girls, a sitcom set in 1990s Ireland. Apart from starring in Derry Girls, Coughlan is also known for her role in Bridgerton and Greta Gerwig's Barbie.

In I Am..., every episode centres around one woman, which is written by the actor playing the woman. Actors who have previously starred in the show includes Kate Winslet, Letitia Wright, and Gemma Chan, among others. Kate Winslet won a British Academy Television Award for her performance.

Joe Cole, who is known for playing John Shelby in the crime drama Peaky Blinders, is also joining I Am... Besides playing a Shelby sibling, Cole also starred in Gangs of London.

Dominic Savage created the series, which premiered in 2019. Savage beyond writing, also starred in Stanley Kubrick's Barry Lyndon (1975). Krishnendu Majumdar produces the series. Me+You Productions is backing the series.
