Iconic wrestler and actor Hulk Hogan, also known as Terry Gene Bollea, has passed away at the age of 71. First responders found Hogan dead at his residence in Florida on Thursday. They responded to a call regarding a “cardiac arrest” case from the residence, as per a TMZ report. They took him from his house with a stretcher into an ambulance but could not help save his life. Law enforcement is yet to give clarification about why or how Hogan died. Hogan had been experiencing ill health over the last few weeks, and there was also speculation about him being in comatose. However, his wife Sky Daily Hogan dismissed the speculation, confirming that he was getting better after a neck treatment procedure.

Hogan also had a noteworthy, albeit widely criticised, career in films as an actor. He made his acting debut with a memorable turn as Thunderclips in 1982’s Rocky III, alongside Sylvester Stallone’s titular character. He would later star as a lead actor in more films, including No Holds Barred, Suburban Commando, and Mr Nanny. Hogan’s other credits include Thunder in Paradise, Santa with Muscles, and McCinsey's Island. Hogan also lent his voice for animated characters in films such as Gnomeo and Juliet. While he played an active part in films in the 1980s and 1990s, his work in the field is often considered to be secondary to his career in professional wrestling.
